flowers-daisies and dandelion

oh my.. i guess i fall in love with something.. guess what? it's daisy(a flower). (highlight that portion)

in the past, i hate or should i say dislike flowers? i feel that it is like ugly or useless. if someone gives me flowers, it will die sooner or later, so why give flowers? however, i would like to take my words back now.. i like daisies!! why i like it? you want to guess?? here it is, i like because of the petals, it is like slim and the way it spaces out. there are many petals too.

here's what i found out about daisy.
MEANING:
Innocence, loyal love, I'll never tell, purity, love that conquers all. Associated with the fifth wedding anniversary. **(main meaning is "innocence")
FACTS:
--Daisies are among the most popular of flowers. Daisies belong to the Daisy Family of Compositae, now known as Asteraceae in flowering plants.
Daisy flowers are simple, sophisticated and attract every one. Simply put, Daisies are one of nature's finest accomplishments.
-Daisies are native to north and central Europe.
-A Daisy flower is composed of white petals and yellow centers, although the flowers are sometimes a pink or rose color.
-Stems of Daisies are smooth and leafless and support a single flower. Daisies are not one flower. A Daisy is made up of two types of flowers - disk florets and petal-like white ray florets.
-Daisies are named from the old Anglo-Saxon language daes eage, which means day's eye.
-Daisy flower plant has a prostrate or spreading growing habit.
-The Daisy leaf texture varies and may be smooth or hairy, narrow at the base and slightly lobed.
-English Daisy is a serious weed in the northwest United States.
-The Daisy flowers open at dawn and are visited by many small insects.
-Daisy leaves are edible and can be used in salads.

another one i quite like is dandelion.

MEANING:
Faithfulness, happiness, love's oracle.
FACTS:
-The word Dandelion comes from the French name for the plant "dents de lion". This means "teeth of the lion" and refers to the jagged edges of the leaf of the plant.
-The Dandelion seeds are important food to many small birds.
-Dandelion is a nutritive herb rich in potassium, calcium, and lecithin, with iron, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, proteins, silicon, boron, and zinc. Dandelion provides several B vitamins along with vitamins C and E as well as vitamin P.
-effective treatment for liver disease, useful even in such extreme cases as cirrhosis. It cleanses the bloodstream and increases bile production, and is a good remedy for gall bladder problems as well. The herb is also a boon to such other internal organs as the pancreas, kidneys, stomach, and spleen. The dried leaf, taken as a tea, is used as a mild laxative to relieve constipation.

well yea.. if you wanna know more, find out yourself k? my blog is not an encyclopedia. hahas =) these 2 are the flowers i like. i know there are many flowers out there and i do not know all. but i guess i will still like this 2 flowers even i know all of the flowers =) how about you? like any flowers now? =)
