happy family

actually, planned to go out with my friend today.
however, it was cancelled. =(
so ya.. stayed at home and maple.
my brother went to wash my dad's car in the afternoon.
he was paid $4 to wash the car.
though you may think it was little,
but my brother enjoyed washing cars.

when my mum was back from work,
we went to eat dinner at Changi to celebrate early birthday for brother.
it was some isolated place..
there are trees all around and the restaurant seem to be situated in a forested area.
the food wasn't fantastic.
quite normal..

went to Bowling at Tampines Safra after eating.
played 2 rounds.
as usual, my dad always win!!
then, we played 2 games of pool.
it was my brother first time playing.
he was quite good at it!
anyway, my parents were a team and my brother and i were another team.
we had a tie.
the first game my parents won and we lost by a few balls.
yet, the second game, my brother and i won by a lot of balls!!

had a great family time together.
our family hadn't spent such a time together for very long.
don't even say about bowling.
the last time we bowled together was years!!

anyway, since today my friend cancelled the meeting,
we're meeting tomorrow morning! =)
then afternoon going to fishing with family?
at night going out with friend to celebrate New Year! =)
oh ya.. my primary school class 6D had organise a meeting on 1st January.
perhaps, i may go.. still contemplating.
if many go i may join. so hope most of them went! =)

my rebonded hair!!

had my hair rebond today!! ok.. now i look so like weird.. my hair is super super straight! it look so abnormal. ok.. not abnormal, just unnatural. i prefer my hair weeks later when it looks more natural instead of sooo straight now. anyway, the guy who rebond my hair said i had too many layer. also, i should have longer hair. now my hair is below shoulder length a bit, so my hair will tend to curl a little after some time. but, well.. quite satisfied though. cost me $108 to rebond and do the treatment!! anyway, it is my first time doing something to my hair other than dying it or styling..

oh ya.. now I'll say about the journey to the saloon to rebond my hair. the saloon is at Bedok. i took nearly 2 hours to reach there! well... i miss my bus-stop again. haha =) moreover, you know how i went there? it was a terribly long journey. i took bus136 to SengKang then bus27 to Tampines to take Mrt to Bedok then take bus17 from the interchange to the saloon. the part i miss my bus-stop was when i took bus17... anyway, since i know how to go there already, i found an easier way back home! i took bus17 to the interchange then took bus87 to Hougang then either i take bus62 to Punggol or take Mrt to Punggol then bus home. so you guess which route i took? well, i took the Mrt then bus home. you may think its troublesome because have to change to bus. but it saves time! =)

i may be meeting my friend tomorrow.. i hope my hair would at least look more natural after i wake up. and oh ya.. my hair have this smell.. those treatment cream smell. its like ammonia smell. the guy that help me rebond my hair said that they use (i forgot the brand) famous brand cream for my treatment and that the smell is considered less pungent. so i guess other brands are worse??

also, I'm quite elated today!! on 31 which is this coming Wednesday, i could go out with Danial to celebrate New Year! however, i could only go out after my dinner with my family. the dinner is to celebrate my brother's birthday. my brother's birthday is on 31st December. sad right? last day of the year. but well, at least i could go out. better then can't!! =)

SUNDAY POST (28/12)

today was wedding dinner again.
captain was great today.
but.. i guess i really have a problem with female captain.
they just seem to pick on me always.
today another female captain said i did not put on lipstick!
but i really did!!
then she ask my friend to look if i did put on lipstick..
obviously, my friend said yes, if not she too will get scolding.

anyway, today was my first time being so nervous during first course.
first course is the one where you know the lights will be dimmed and the waiter/waitress will come out with the candle and food.
i guess perhaps today i was standing at the front near the VIP table..
usually, i stood at the back or middle,
so when they bow i could see and follow.
however, this time i was the one where others will look to follow to bow.
I'm afraid my timing would be wrong.
luckily i was right today.

after seeing so many wedding dinner,
i pity the groom for having to pay such a huge sum to enter the bride's house.
(i know about all this because i watched the video tape they show during the dinner.)
anyway, a wedding really cost a lot!
do you know a table cost how much?
1 table = $868? (around there, i forgot the exact price)
1 table is for 10 person. about 8 course?? depends.

today Danial end work so early!! (we work at different rooms)
he ended at 10.30 as they did the setting for Monday.
the ex-co are coming from England or somewhere and they require everything in tip-top condition.
but well, glad that I've a great friend who waits for me till my dinner ended.

going to rebond my hair tomorrow!! =)
hope it will turn out well.
anyway, my parents don't allow me to go out on Wednesday!
they said we'll celebrate brother's birthday.
he so big shot??
all because of him?
i hope after dinner with family i could go out.
catch the movie and at least watch fireworks with my friend..
anyway... i don't think its possible. =(

recently, I've been working in Hyatt.
next week, I'll be working in Hyatt on Saturday only and of course Danial and Syed is working on that day too! =)

well, i work at Hibiscus.
everything went well until later..
when that female captain pop out..
and obviously, i got something from her!
i was really &*!$% (i didn't want to write what happen in here. if you want to know i could tell you. but depends who you are.)
well, my captain asked me to apologise.
i was quite reluctant but i did it.
there was no need to apologise to a *****!
i guess sooner or later the whole Hyatt staff will know what happened.
with that female captain mouth, it's like a huge microphone!!
other captains are fine about that but only she was soo %$#@!.

anyway, i went around Orchard alone.
ya.. just walk around and shop.
but, i spent most of my time at Kinokuniya!
i guess you could leave me there all alone for weeks or months or even years??
I'm sure i won't leave till I've read most of the interesting books!
ok.. provided there's food and drinks. =)

my parents went to watch band concert.
my brother asked them to watch..
it was a combine band concert with other schools taught by our band conductor-Mr Er.
actually, my parents asked me to go since i left work early but i didn't want to.
i don't know why.
i guess I'm not really into band as in so committed to it.
i suppose, for my 4 years in band, my motive was just to struggle and get an A1 for CCA.
in fact i do love band from the start because my friends always go.
but soon.. we lose interest. or maybe not.. but our friendship drifted apart.

so ya.. that's how my day pass.
actually, back at the Hyatt,
at first i was really very $%@#! and sad.
but i guess i don't feel anything now.
i won't even care what Hyatt staff are going to say.
perhaps.., i let things go easily.
i won't remember unhappy stuff unless somehow something reminded me of it.
happy-go-lucky right? haha. =)
but seriously speaking,
that thing that happened is by far the worse that had happened to me so far at work..
anyway, life isn't always that fun and happy right? =)
just learn from it and ya.. that's that.

oh ya.. I'm going to rebond my hair on Monday..
SiYing back out!
at first she was the one who persuade me to go rebond and now..
she didn't want.
so.. I'm going alone again! =)

FRIDAY POST (26/12)

finally, back to work again at Hyatt. this week, I'm only working today and during the weekends. all 3 days at Hyatt.

anyway, during the afternoon i played maple again. I'm a cleric already!! finally! it's so much easier to train with magician compared to a pirate. the damage really sucks! i hope i could get my magician to go for 3rd job by school reopen.. but i doubt it's possible. with my time limit and my job, i would have less time. but, my job really helps me, if not i would have become a computer addict!

went out early to collect my pay. i almost got $300 dollars! so total, i got about $500++ for a month work. well, less than a month work because i don't work daily. i guess if i were to work daily, i would have earned over a thousand! but well ya.. got to rest right? =)

met Danial again before work.. i guess he's the closest friend i got at Hyatt!! he have another friend Syed (now i know his name!) but they aren't as close as i thought. they could just go home without waiting one another!!

work at Hibiscus room, another wedding dinner. luckily, Danial and Syed arae also working in the same room! by the way, in another room, there was a girl who is celebrating her 17th birthday at Hyatt!! her parents must be wealthy!! she's only17 years old and already celebrating her birthday at a hotel. if she grows older i guess her birthday party would be overseas!!

today was quite slack but i made a lot of careless mistakes. fortunately, the captains who are in charge of Hibiscus room today are kind ones. i don't know what's wrong with me. but I'm really blur like a sotong! also, i hit my head against a lamp hanging on the wall... ok.. if you are laughing at this i guess you'll be rolling on the floor later.. the worse haven't been told. anyway, i manage to catch the train back home today!! it's not the last train as we left earlier! =)

here's the stupid part. when i took the bus home from Punggol interchange, i was too engross with my book that i missed the bus-stop!! luckily, i only miss by a bus-stop! actually, i almost miss 2 stops! i walked all the way home. if i didn't miss the bus stop, i could have reach home 5 minutes earlier. =( i guess I'm really unlucky today.. made so many mistakes and i look so silly. I've totally make myself look like a fool!

well, need to rest!! working at noon tomorrow. i hope i could end in the evening! and ya, i'm gong out on the 31st! at least hang out on the last day of the year rather than stay at home the whole day!! =)

THURSDAY POST (25/12)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

i woke up and i thought i would have quite a lot of fun today but in fact what i thought wasn't going to come true.. I'm stuck at home. i asked my dad if we are going out and he told we we aren't, so i asked SiYing to go out.. but she took quite long to reply. when i had confirmed the outing with SiYing, my parents said that we would go Marina Country Club near Punggol End for fishing. then, i told them about the outing with SiYing. you know what? they blamed me for not informing them earlier!! but the thing is, earlier, they told me that they aren't heading out and SiYing had just confirm the outing with me!! i was infuriated!

anyway, i went out with SiYing to clarke quay to shop for new year clothes..i did bought quite a few but SiYing only bought one. she doesn't seem to be into the mood to shop but when i ask her, she said 你看的时后我有看... and i got nothing to say..

we went home for our dinner as we're suppose to eat with parents. for me, i ate buffet steamboat at Marina Country Club. it's nothing much. the food isn't that fantastic though. just normal food like fishballs, mushrooms and seafood and rice or noodles.

came home. can't maple because I've exceed my limit. anyway, i had given my brother's christmas gift right after 12am.. but for my parents.. i intended to give them a hug as i haven't hug them for years!! more than 5 or 6 years i suppose. but obviously, i failed the task. i find it hard to hug them. it's like so many years not hugging them and suddenly you go right up to them and hug. the atmosphere may be kinda awkward?? but.. I'm trying again on New Year!! hope by then i would gather enough courage to hug them! =)

WEDNESDAY POST(24/12)

afternoon, went to Marina Square to get my brother a lava lamp.
he has been wanting it for very long..
since last year?
anyway, i walked around and HowCher said he wanted to join me later awhile.
i waited for him super long!!
HowCher is always late.
he said he brought his friend to the clinic as his friend injure his leg and blah blah..

came back with my brother.
well, i met my brother at Dhoby Ghaut.

evening went to my dad's side relative house at Sembawang,
for Christmas gift exchange party.
our family brought Otah as it was a potluck kinda party.
we was kinda late because we were the second last to reach!
ate then they organise small games.
mainly the little kids played..
however we were pulled in to play for one of the game.

cut the log cake and had our gift exchange!
i got no.4.
guess what was it?
it was a Mickey Mouse hand soft toy...
wasn't actually soft toy but cushion.

came home.
could blog but went off to maple instead.. =)
so ya.. quite a day wasn't it?

just at home

wrapped my gift for Naho. my dad sent the gift for me.

played maple in the afternoon. I'm so unfortunate that when there's a yellow parcel box event, my computer auto shut down!! i was very pissed and damn the computer!! the event only lasted around 4 minutes for every hour and my computer SHUT DOWN!! worse thing is my computer had been locked by password. i couldn't restart as i can't play at all! at that time, i really wanted to kick the computer hard! but fine, i hope i could play at night. at least for an hour without any interruption!


perhaps, I'm going out with my brother tomorrow afternoon. then, going for family gathering Christmas gift exchange party tomorrow night. finally meeting my cousins again! haven't met them since my great grandmother funeral during my O level. i hope i could get a nice gift tomorrow! =)

aching everywhere

MONDAY POST (22/12)

i woke up and my body ache like don't know what.. maybe because yesterday was my first time carrying oval tray so many times and someone hit my leg by accident.

just stayed at home and laze around.. use computer and watch TV.

went CompassPoint with my mum at night. if i didn't see wrongly, i saw Georgina working at Famous Amos... i wouldn't work somewhere near my house or schooling area. I'll feel kinda weird seeing schoolmates when i work. anyway, bought my gift for Naho(japan friend). i bought pineapple tarts, Merci chocolates and i gave her a Precious Moment gift. this parcel includes Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year gift. haha =) sending the parcel tomorrow. hope it will reach there soon!

SUNDAY POST (21/12)


start work at noon today.
sent to the garden to work.
there's a garden wedding buffet at night.
it's a Malay wedding (i guess they're Indonesians).
went to do set up..
all of us slack.
in the end, during the late afternoon, the captain scolded us.
we rushed everything as the guests are about to arrive.


surprise to see Danial working at the garden too.
Anna did not get posted to the garden.
both of them start work at 5pm,
the chances of working together are quite slim.
anyway, fortunately, the weather was fine at night.
windy and well, no rain.


when the dinner was over,
we had a hard time clearing.
all of the tables and clothes had to be sent down.
we had to bring everything down by the lift or carry them down the stairs.
it was a tough time for everyone.
everyone wanted to rush home too.

Danial and i ran to the station, trying to catch the last train.
but damn it!! we are a minute late.
did not manage to catch the last train.
knowing that there's a 6N bus to Punggol,
we walked to the MacDonald to get a drink before catching the bus.

met Danial's friend at the bus stop.
then i found out that there's no 6N bus at the bus stop!!
but it couldn't be,
the brochure i got from the bus interchange said there is.
anyway, took bus 581 which head to Pasir Ris interchange.
I'll alight at the bus stop near Temasek Poly and my parents would fetch me from there.
took bus 581 with Danial and friend.
all of us was like a bookworm..
took out books when we were on the bus.

i knew i would get scolding when I'm on the car..
they nag at me once again for not managing my time well and blah blah blah...
had fun working today but the nagging part was the worse part of the day!

ate 'Tang Yuan' when i got home.
my mum handmade 'Tang Yuan'.
i wondered why it is so weird like white and pink glutinous dough together.
it was then i realised that she made a snowman out of it.. haha =)

back to work

SATURDAY POST (20/12)

when i woke up, i'm home alone. it's completely quiet and peaceful. as i've nothing mush to do, i did that quiz(below).

finally, back to work at Grand Hyatt!!
brought 2 new friends-Joshua Lim(from CVSS) and Anna.
anyway, meet up with my friend-Danial before going to work.
so ya.. 4 of us heading work.

work at Grand Ballroom. Danial and Anna work the same place with me. Joshua was with Danial friend as we got seperated. it was a Indian wedding. a lot of dancing like those TV shows. but luckily there was no coconut trees or else.. (you should know). anyway, it was a buffet so today was quite easy.

after the dinner when we were clearing, Danial slip and fell, the oval try which holds all the glasses dropped. it was a total mess. the floor so wet and slippery was filled with broken wine glasses and goblet. Danial cleaned up the mess. he had turn from a waiter to a cleaner. haha =) fortunately, there wasn't any scolding.

luckily, my parents came to fetch me home or else i'll miss the last trian for sure. Anna change so slow.. next time i wouldnt wait for anyone when i go home. i'll just run to the Mrt. sometimes, i guess we have to be like that.. don't care about the others just care whether you can get home.

hang out with primary school friends today!!
the usual people-David and HowCher.
went to Orchard Cineleisure to catch 'Twilight'.
oh ya.. by the way.. we took a long time to get there!!
though we met at Somerset Mrt station,
HowCher who claim he knows the way lead us to the wrong direction.
in the end, we end up near Dhoby Ghaut station, Plaza Singapura.
they still continue walking towards there.
it is me who told HowCher that we are heading in the wrong direction.
it was only after much persuasion that they followed me.
then, i lead them to Orchard Cineleisure..
HowCher kept finding excuses about leading us in the wrong way...

ate at PastaMania before watching the movie.
saw a tiny cockroach crawling on the glass..
HowCher wanted to complain.
but as the newspaper had said before,
most Singaporeans love to whine and complain,
yet they never complain to the right person or the company.
anyway, HowCher started saying the little black thing in the spaghetti is the crushed up cockroach.
David followed.. saying all the nonsense.
worse of all I'm still eating,
and obviously i lose my appetite(actually, I'm quite full too).

ok here's my opinion of 'Twilight' after watching.
quite a lot of romance in the show.
a little boring at first..
not much fighting.
there isn't even biting on the neck or any huge fighting scenes!
no guns, no bombs. unlike James Bond show.
only at the later part where there is fighting because of Bella.
i presume that those people like the show because of Edward or any characters in it.
for those who did not read the book and have no idea about the characters,
you may find it not up-to-standard of normal vampire show,
where you can see a lot of biting in the neck and blood stuff.
anyway, i guess there will be 'Twilight 2'.
I'll give the movie rating 6.5/10?

even if they want to speak out, they couldn't.

anyway, headed there with dad and brother to buy dinner.

didn't know that there is a prawn village there.

it is for people to catch prawns..

those kind at Pasir Ris where you pay a fee and catch all you want.

also, this shop is 24hours.

hmm.. i still can remember the price.

1hour-$15. 2hour-$25. 3hour-$30. (if i'm not wrong!)

there's BBQ pit too!! for you to BBQ your prawns and eat immediately =)

they provide the BBQ pit, charcoal and fire starter for $2.

my dad says go there on Christmas?? don't know if he's joking or not?

The unknown guy in white is fishing for prawns. there's only prawn catching, no fish.

in the end, as i waited for the patch to be completed at 4pm, i had fallen asleep.

went to visit grandma at ErBo house.
ate diner with her.
i thought we would be going to the coffee shop to eat.
instead, she cooked.
stayed there for a while after dinner.
dad talk to ErBo and his wife while accompany grandma.
usually we would stay there for about 4-5 hoursas they have their adult chat.
yet, this time we just stayed for few hours.
i guess it was because my mum wasn't around.

so ya.. back home.
waiting for the patch to complete now as i typed this post.
hope everything goes smoothly,
or else i have to download maple all over again!!
it would be very troublesome and i hate the whole process.

first outing with SiYing after a long long time! =)

seems like a year had passed before meeting her again.

we went to Sakae Sushi to eat.

had Sakae buffet there.

ate the same old dishes we always eat when we are there.

anyway, these are the dishes that SiYing don't like.

she says that the Cha Soba is very cold.

and that who eats cold noodles? it's disgusting.

anyway, this is me, an octopus.

Here comes along my friend-SiYing. at least i'm taller than her when i'm an octopus and she is so BLACK like a BURNT octopus.

went to the library and walked around CompassPoint.

as we walked, we talked about everything.

cut my hair.

well, nothing much. still the same length.

i should say, i was just trimming my hair.

the only thing i'm quite sad about is my fringe.

with a scissors in her hand, there it goes..

a fringe so long, below my nose, it has now reduced to below my eyes.. =(

looks kinda stupid now...

thinking of rebonding.

and i guess i'll rebond soon? perhaps with SiYing.

but, i require my parents consent to do it..

hope they do allow.

oh ya.. and my mum is in China now.

i suppose i would have to wait till she's back before the decision would be confirmed.

actually, in the evening, there's a band farewell party for Mr Tan.

Mr Tan Teck Nam is leaving our school..

he's going to another school to teach Physics.

a BBQ is held in school by band and obviously it's only for Band members.

also, we have to pay a total sum of $7 for the BBQ and the alumni farewell gift for Mr Tan.

however, i didn't went for this party.

not because i didn't want to fork out that miserable $7.

but i really feel that my prescence there doesn't mean anything special.

it doesn't mean i'm not well like in band,

just that being there or not, no one will really care about it.

furthermore, i'm not the band major or drum major or even SL.

so ya.. i just went home after the outing with SiYing.

back to watching my TV programmes.

going to meet my grandmother-NaiNai for dinner tomorrow..

have to bring something to keep myself occupied.

if not i'll be rotting there without computer and SCV.

and that's my life today.

mum left for business trip

my mum went to China for a business trip.
she left home at dawn,
and i didn't get to sent her off...
kinda miss her now.
i don't really show my feelings to my parents.
like how i love them or miss them.
feels weird showing my feelings to them,
so they often nag at me about how i did not care for them and stuff..

anyway, watched TV and read my book-Memoirs of a Geisha again.
i pause my reading on 'Memoirs of a Geisha' when i read 'For One More Day'.
now i really want to read all Mitch Albom books!
he's really a great author.
'Memoirs of a Geisha' is a nice book.
i really mean it, even though I'm only barely a half way through.
but it kinda makes me wonder how a male author can write a book about Geisha's life.
in the book, most of the characters are females,
and he depicts them so well.. the feelings and thoughts.
i would recommend you to read it if you love novels.

late afternoon,
my tutor-Kingman got back to tutoring my brother A-math to prepare him sec4 topics.
I'm away from tuition!! at least for now! =)
well, actually Kingman could literally teach anything except Biology and English.
but, he is best in A-math.
sometimes, he is not very sure with certain Pure sciences questions...
well, everyone isn't perfect..
so he got his limit too!

ok.. no work today.
so ya.. read how i spent my day?
boring right??
that's why i rather work or leave home.
at least there are some fun or thrills when I'm not home.

meeting SiYing tomorrow!
our first outing ever since prom night? if i didn't remember wrongly.
well, it'll be a small outing.
not a big one where we'll shop or watch movie.
just to meet each other and catch up the great old times! =)
anyway, I'll be meeting my primary school friends on Friday.

SUNDAY POST

i began watching TV programmes since i woke up. there is just nothing for me to do.. well, there is. Housework. but i hate it. so the job was shifted to my parents. i'm unfillial, ain't i? =)

i had change my blog skin again this afternoon. i like this skin. its so colourful! however, once again, there is PROBLEM!!! under my 'Friends', 'History' and 'Credits' section, all the words seemed to be together. it's like a layer and another layer atop one another. i don't know why. anyway, I'm very frustrated mending it that i gave up. I'm just leaving the way as it is.

went to work. my friend-(I've forgotten the name) was there. well, only one. Vincent wasn't there. today wasn't busy at all. i guess this restaurant doesn't have much business during the weekends. as a result, time crawls... =(

recently, there is some LIVE concert at the outdoor esplanade stage. there are performances like singing or even band playing. i could hear from where i work! by the way, there are a lot of white balls floating on the reservoir. and the white balls had been increasing rapidly! it is in different kinds so sizes too! by the way, the reservoir meant the floating stadium there. heard that people had written wishes onto the white balls. furthermore, the New Year Countdown will be there and the white ball meant something for New Year.

Anyway, i slack and i ended work at 10pm instead of 10.30. when i wanted to sign out, i realised my name wasn't on the paper! IT CANNOT BE!! they called me to work and i agreed. days later, i wanted to cancel, but i can't. luckily, the captain asked my name to be written on the paper, and that I'm not giving free labour! =) stayed back to eat for supper. I've to wait like 45mins? before being able to eat supper as the chef had not cook when i stopped work. it was BeeHoon. quite nice. not like the Hawker Centre where the fried it until it was so oily. but to me, i prefer Grand Hyatt food. well, of course! 5 star hotel. the food must be mouth-watering. Hyatt food as in food for the Guests. not food for staff like us we ate during our break. that's why i like to steal food from the guests. well.. not steal but eating their unfinished food. it's not dirty because we had portioned it out for them. haha =)

anyway, yesterday i had gotten my working days for this week.
Weekends-Grand Hyatt.
i did not receive any working days for weekdays. I'm not sure why. i asked my friend. and she too, did not receive any working days for weekdays. maybe we are out of business? but well, i just treat it as a resting week. to go out with friends or perhaps just rest. =) and ya.. meeting my primary school friends-David and HowCher soon!

oh ya.. few days ago, i planned to sent Naho(my Japan friend) a christmas parcel. yet, until now, i had no idea what should i give.. =( any idea? help me to think! thanks!

stock market??

Saturday Post (no mood to blog yesterday)

anyway, in the afternoon, went to listen a talk about 'Stock Market' with my family. it is indeed boring at the beginning. the speaking is droning on and on. i felt very sleepy and i dozed off. luckily, i woke up at the right time. the interesting lesson was just starting. in fact, the stock market is very fun. hmm... but the age requirement to buy stocks is at 18. I'm sadded. 2 more years to 18! and i really can't wait. the stock market is super fascinating! =) but the risky thing is if you play it right, you can earn big. you play it wrong and that's that. yet, those who know how to play, you will know when to buy and the risk of playing it wrong will be small. anyway, buying stocks is really fun! you should try it when you can! =)

went to work at Palm Beach Seafood Restaurant. i was late.. =( however, this is not the worse. the boss brother-in-law and sister is coming to eat today... how unfortunate am i. coming to work on this day.. lucky me, I'm not serving their table. however, all the captains act strict today. they were indeed fiercer when the boss brother-in-law and sister is around. ordering me all around to do this and that. =( well.. i act busy and work hard. time passes at a snail pace when working in this restaurant on weekends. on weekdays, this restaurant is much busy. there a lot of things to do that you completely lost track of time on weekdays. after the boss 'spies' are gone, i clear the tables. the side stand is so full that i purposely stack the dishes until a slight touch of them will cause the cutlery to drop. another staff came to stack more things. and she fell into my 'trap'! haha =) she touched it and it dropped. she looked at me astonished, yet i just walked off. i wanted to laugh but i controlled. a lot of people were staring at her. i continued doing my stuff.

left without eating supper. since my friends were not there, i didn't stay to eat. no one to talk to. so why stay?

great experience..

I'm really very tired today morning.. but i still had to get up for work.

first day that I'm punctual for work. i was posted here and there. anyway, early in the morning, the only thing to do was setting up for the evening's dinner. in the midst of posting, i was sent to Straits Kitchen. at first, i was wondering where was it. for so many weeks working at Grand Hyatt, it's my first time hearing that name. it is those restaurant buffet at Grand Hyatt. you know those little restaurant at the hotel 1st floor?? but it is still part of Grand Hyatt. went there to help out. this time was to clear the dirty plates. anyway, there are 2 persons having their birthday today. then the captain ask me to sing birthday song. i was like 'oh ok..'. in the end, when they sing.. the birthday song was like another version! i don't know how to sing and i only clapped.. kind of awkward there.

today was very slack at Grand Hyatt. there was nothing much to do. even if there was, i slack. well, not really slack. but i just do things slowly.. time past quite fast working at Straits Kitchen.
only my friend and i was sent down, while the rest continue setting the room there. glad that i had exposure at another place other than working at Hyatt banquet.

end work at evening!! wooohoooo! went walking around at Wisma Atria then Takashimaya with my friend-Shermaine. she did not enter Louis Vuitton shop before.. i was quite astonished.

went home.. get scolded by my parents. ok.. maybe not scold. just told me off... I'm quite pissed. but fine, I've so many other things to think of. completed reading 'For One More Day' by Mitch Albom. nice book. it is really very touching at the end.. i'm seriously touched. i guess the first book that really touch my heart?




i guess some things are hard to explain. but just listen to me for once.. just let it go. give up. i don't want to waste your time.. i guess i have to tell you sooner the better as to not hurt you that much as time pass. i suppose to you, the word 'sorry' may not seem anything much. yet, at some times, this word weighs heavier than any other things. you may also think that your problem is a huge one. but others may have greater problems than you.. just forget. let everything go. start afresh..

a day off from work

met my working colleague.
went to watch "The Day the Earth Stood Still" at Plaza Singapura.
quite an interesting show indeed.
but well, the moral of the story is:
save the planet.
humans are the ones that cause the planet to suffer.
so this alien came and save all the other species in the planet while annihilating the human race.
anyway, this is the important thing.
they said,
humans will only change when the catastrophe is at its peak,
and when they fear their love ones or lives will be lost.
so... to me.. i feel that this show is still worth watching.
and it also tell us how world leaders should act.
like when there is this type of alien stuff..
using weapons is not the way to solve issues.

after the show we went to walk around PS.
then i left my friend and went to Orchard to meet TengHoi, Brandon and Ken.
ate dinner at Wisma Atria Food Republic with them.
also, i met them not only to eat dinner,
but to get my souvenirs too.
TengHoi went to HongKong and bought me a Winnie the Pooh soft toy.
while XuanLe gave me a glow in the dark keychain.
hmm.. actually i WOULDN'T LIKE to get a soft toy or display items as a gift.
i prefer something that can be used.. like bag? or accessories like necklace?
but since it has been bought and i LIKE Winnie the Pooh so i just accepted it.

went home after eating.
actually wanted to walk around or shop,
but that Brandon want to rush home to reply his JAPAN GIRL email!
he looked so tense in the MRT,
like those show where the girlfriend is flying off soon yet Brandon is still on the way to the airport. and seriously.. this is how he looks.
he kept saying he is not tense yet his actions betrayed him.
in the end, when he reached home, she haven't reply his email...
rush home for nothing.
when in love with that Japan girl also no need to rush home until like that what.
the most is one day don't reply email only.
or perhaps she is irritated by him??
haha joking. shouldn't say that or i may get killed by Brandon.

well ya.. need to rest already.
starting work at 11am tomorrow!! =)

getting my first pay

WEDNESDAY POST

went to get my first PAY!!!
i was wondering how much will i get.
working under the agency-TCC,
if you work 1st-15th day of the month,
you get your pay on 25th or 26th.
if you work from the 16th onwards to the end of the month,
you get your pay on 10th or 11th.
so since i started work on Nov i guess 24th? i forgot.
i get my pay today!!

went to Outram Park where the TCC is to collect my pay.
the whole place was crowded with teenagers like me,
waiting for pay.
ok.. guess how much i got?
$200 plus!! (i don't want to say the exact amount.)
later get robbed. haha =)
well, we took cash.
they didn't issue cheque,
so there won't be a hassle to go to the bank.
anyway, i was like work for about a week only?
less than half a month!
and i got $200!!
so if i work for 1st-15th of the month..
won't i get more pay?? =)

after all that excitement,
went to collect my spectacles.

ate dinner at Subway before going to restaurant to work.
i saw the Ferrero Rondnoir,
the dark chocolate i had been talking about in my previous post.
besides that,
i saw another Ferrero chocolate.
this one is wrapped in silver wrapper!
i didn't buy it.
but now, i really wish to try the silver wrapper one.

well, my friend(accompany to get pay too) and i walked around.

went into Marks and Spencer store.

my friend asked me to smell the cologne.

my friend SPRAY into my MOUTH!!

it is so bitter and ewww my face have the smell of that cologne.

went to toilet and spit saliva out and gargle my mouth!

disgusting!! DON'T EVER TRY TASTING COLOGNE!!

i work outdoor today.
not a runner, so obviously I'm a waitress.
very busy today.
ok.. now here's the thing.
a guy ask me stay for supper at the restaurant,
and he ask me why i always go home soo early.
i was like WHAAAT THEE HEELLL!!
GOT SUPPER???
I've been working at this restaurant for like more than a week in total,
and only NOW i know there's SUPPER provided!!!
NO ONE tell me there's SUPPER until today!
fine... anyway, the supper was quite nice.
the chef at the restaurant cooked it.
ate noodles and squid.
the squid was not steam nor fried.
don't know how to explain.

get home.
even though there's food at Restaurant now,
i still feel that working at Grand Hyatt is much better.
even though the captains can be NUTS!,
but i guess the friends and food and the thrill of stealing FOOD is SO FUN!
ok.. need rest.
going out with friends later,
and of course not to spent all my HARD-EARNED money!! =)

at work

brought that new guy to Palm Beach Seafood Restaurant.
he's from myanmar..
he have that weird accent when he speaks english.

anyway, i'm not a runner this time.
working outdoor as a waitress.
hmm.. the difference being a runner and a waitress is that,
waitress is always busy, seldom have time to slack.
being a runner, when there is no dishes, there is completely nothing to do.
yet, a runner has to stay in the kitchen waiting for the food.
it is hot in the kitchen with all the food being cooked.
while working outside,
i made new friend-Vincent.
he looked alright,
but when he speaks he's kind of like gay??...
his voice is just high but he is actually really alright.

after work,
i saw my message.
one of it comes from a unknown number asking me to go to Traffic Police Headquarters,
for some Drink Driving stuff..
hellooo!! i'm just 16! how do i even drive?
i called back the number and scolded them..
my friend beside me kept laughing.
i don't think i scold people is that funny!

head home.
used the computer for quite long! haha.
parents asleep. =)
ok.. now i'm looking forward to working tomorrow at this Restaurant,
since i had made friends!!

ok.. at first want to collect my spectacles today.
called the optician shop.
they said it is not ready yet.
ask me to go down tomorrow.

but there is something wrong with this skin.

i tried changing the format or something but no matter how,

never mind about it.

to my old house

dragged myself to wake up today.
actually my family planned to go to East Coast Park to skate today.
however, the weather prevented us from going.
it was raining heavily in the morning and it continue to rain the whole day!
it is a cold and wet day today!!
anyway, quite glad that it rained as i can stay in bed longer.

went to my old house at Tampines.
the owner who bought my house invited my family over every year when there is a Malay festival.
we ate Malay food that his mother cooked.
he work as an air steward.
anyway, my old house had changed a lot!
my room had changed too.
he did renovate the house a bit.
the house is simple and had no smell.
it is the first Malay house i went to without any kind of smell,
and the first Malay house where the furniture and everything is so simple.

when we were about to leave,
he gave my brother and i a box of Ferrero Dark Chocolate.
the Ferrero chocolate isn't wrapped with the Golden one we usually see,
it is wrapped with Black wrapper instead.
perhaps he bought it from overseas,
as it was the first Ferrero Dark Chocolate i see.

went to visit my Tai Ma.
she is my great grand mother.
recently i had lost a great grand mother.
now i left one.. this one.
well, she is still in good health!
still can remember everyone and talk.
only thing is that she sits on a wheel chair and needs a maid to bring her about.
she said,
"the weather is so cold today, why wear dress? should wear long pants!"
haha. she said that in dialect of course! not in English!

went to eat dinner.
then went to my Dad's brother house who is my Er Bo.
I'm at Er Bo house as i type this post now..
hope i can go home soon!
i want to continue reading my storybook and watch my show.
Er Bo house do not have SCV.. so its kind of boring here.
anyway, its my first time using computer at Er Bo house.
always come here and my parents drink and talk to Er Bo and his wife and company my Nai Nai.
you know.. those adult talk.
my brother and i would be left alone watching TV.

went to work in the evening.
back at the Palm Beach Seafood Restaurant.
actually today I'm supposed to work at Grand Hyatt.
but few days ago, TCC called me and asked me to work at this Restaurant again.
I'm sort of sadden...
no more delicious food today. =(

anyway, i was the runner today.
those people in the Restaurant are very friendly.
but, NO food and drinks!
when i work,
it is like there won't be time for you to even drink,
and you can't steal food!!
moreover, my friend-Zhi Hui did not work here today..
so i was kinda alone.
however, those people will still talk to me,
just that we are not close friends.

went home.
read a new book-Memoirs of a Geisha, today.
finish reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
i want to get a full set of Harry Potter books!!
recently, I've been buying books and borrowing books from the library!
I'm into books now.. =)

getting rest!

a GREAT day at work!

SATURDAY POST

early in the morning i forced myself to wake up!
slept at 4am and wake up at 10am today!
wake up so early to prepare myself for Ms Ang wedding.
oh wait. shouldn't call her Ms Ang anymore.
now, she is Mrs Lee.
first time I'm going for a church wedding.
my family went too.
my parents received an invitation card from Mrs Lee..
actually after the wedding, i found that i don't like church wedding.
they kept singing all those Lord or God songs..
ok. you can say I'm rude or whatever,
but i really think that Man created God and not God created Man.
I'm a free thinker and I'm an atheist!
i like churches as in i like the structure.
but not about the God there...

brought new people to work again.
and I'm late for work once again.
today they do not have enough uniforms.
i took the last uniform.
luckily when we were about to leave,
there were new uniforms that just came out from the laundry.
the 2 girls took them.
however, all the uniforms we took were over sized.
all of our sizes had been taken by the early birds.
the pants i wore was like so long that i could step on it.
yet, i couldn't fold it as it is part of the way we should wear our uniform.
also, i have to pull up my pants frequently or else I'll have a hard time walking!

there are 4 weddings today.
today the wedding i serve is a Indo-Chinese wedding.
all those Indonesians are super rich.
and i was lucky today that the captains are good ones. =)
it is the second day i went to first floor.
i want to go back to the second floor to work!!
by the way, FYI,
the second floor is the largest and it is the Grand Ballroom.
first and third floor are smaller.

get to know a friend today.
he is a first timer and doesn't know anything.
have to teach him everything.

there are so many nice food today!
since the captains are great,
we took the leftover food to the back lane and ate them!
the food is super delicious!
the dessert was 'strawberry short cake'.
i ate 2 servings! haha =)
now, i LOVE working at Grand Hyatt compared to the Palm Beach Seafood Restaurant.
it is because i have friends here now and there are many many FOOD!!
today those captain even said,
"come come let's eat together!" haha.
took those complimentary cakes that were left by the guests.
i guess I'm gonna be a great stealer! =p


i wanted to work OT today.
but, there were to many people wanting to work OT!!
first time seeing so many people fighting to work OT.
they only let 12 person to work OT.
because.. if too many people OT,
there will be many people claiming taxi fare.
since my name was not on the list,
i can't work OT.
by then, it is very late,
and i don't want to take the NightOwl bus home.
so i lied and said there was no transport to Punggol at such a late hour.
so the hotel provide transport.
i took a mini van.
the van fetch all those people who lived in the north-east area.
my friend stayed at Pasir Ris.. =(
so obviously, we couldn't take the same mini van.
anyway, it kinda reminds me of the school bus i took when i was in primary school.

i really look forward to the next time I'm working at Grand Hyatt!!

WORST day at work so far..

FRIDAY POST

my dad, my brother and i went to meet mum for lunch.
went to Ang Mo Kio Jack's Place to eat.
after eating, went to AMK library.

went to Bras Basah to check eye sight.
since i was young my parents had been bringing me there to check my eye sight.
my left eye degree increased.
now, left eye 600. right 500.
left my spectacle there to change the lenses for left eye.
right eye remain the same.

brought a new guy to work at Grand Hyatt.
late for work again.
at first i was at 2nd level to serve for Chinese wedding dinner.
as there was too much worker,
i was posted to 1st level
it was a company Dinner & Dance.
it was HORRIBLE!!
the female captain is ALWAYS shouting and screaming.
she get angry easily.
perhaps she is going through menopause!
she kept scolding me...
all the other staff tell me not to care about her,
she is ALWAYS like that.
i also don't care her.
let her scream and holler all she want.
that female captain is ALWAYS NUTS!
worse thing is that today i spilled 7-UP onto a guests.
that female captain scolded me..
but i just stand there let her scold.
don't really bother.
after that incident,
she kept picking on me.
trying to find fault.
i really can't take it!
she not tired of scolding but I'm tired of listening to her..

after everything,
she ask me to clear a room where the dancers were.
i was left alone in the room and there were FOOD!!
and obviously i ate it.
i ate the mushrooms as i LOVE ALL kinds of MUSHROOMS!!
suddenly, she came back.
i quickly swallowed the whole mushroom.
almost choke!
and as usual,
she scolded me of clearing too slow.
of course! because i was eating.
but obviously i didn't tell her i was eating.
if not there will be a storm and i may never survive the storm.

OT until 2AM.
but i still have to wait for the rest of the staff to take taxi.
in the end reach home around 3AM!
ok have to rest already.
Ms Ang wedding is later in the late morning..
hope it will be a great one!
