modern dance audition

life is just so unfair!!

agree with me? well, you MUST!

had modern dance audition today. doubt i can enter. a lot of talented ones with experience there. why must they have audition? isn't passion the most important? though they told us with passion we may enter. but during the 15min~~ audition, can they see our passion? clearly, its a NO. so naturally, they will pick those people with nearly perfect dance moves. though we had a 10min~ taught choreography, i literally couldn't pick up any moves. they practically assume you know the basics and the style! which i don't! i have no dance background at all. well, no significant ones. anyway, I'm prepared i wouldn't be able to enter the dance cca which i wish and hope so much to enter. i guess, i wont be able to do well for this coming Saturday hip-hop audition either. good luck to myself!
i tried.. but i guess it didn't work out.

thinking of joining in-line skating. thought not much SEAL points, i may be able to learn some stuns. well, got to find out more about it first!

lost my voice, cheer leading orientation

hard time communicating with my friends when my voice is gone. i can only whisper. in school, with the noise pollution, whispering is useless.

cannot eat a lot of foods also. no spicy stuff and chicken. ahhhhhhhh!! =(

had cheer leading orientation today. left early. felt that the cheer leading in TP is lousy. well, it's not up to my standard. compared to those western countries cheer leading, TP cheer leaders are still light years away from them. anyway, my main aim is to enter dance. i hope i will be selected in the audition! =/

SUNDAY POST (26/4)

dad went to Taiwan in the morning. another business trip again. didn't get to see him before he left.. =(

i lost my voice. went to visit the doctor at night to get some medication. doctor told me I'm not suppose to talk and he wanted to give me MC for 2 days. i didn't want to miss the school! =/ so i should not talk for 2 days or else my voice will be worse. this is what the doctor said.

SATURDAY POST (25/4)

last day of my course camp. beginning to lose my voice. weather is freaking hot and humid. it's like a drought is beginning in Singapore!

first day of camp(yesterday), we were separated into groups. there are a total of 3 groups, X-men, Fantastic4, Teen Titans. guess which group am i in? i'm in the Teen Titans! =) our group is the most hyper ones. we scream and shout like nobody business because we have those very enthusiatic peeps, while other groups are much quieter compared to ours. had the usual ice breaking >> TP mass dance >> learnt TP hand-sign language song >> breaking the guiness world record human wheel barrow challenge >> dinner outside school >> some "scary" night walks >> ghost stories >> wash up >> lights out (we had class night meeting instead) >> games among ourself >> next day.

for the wheel barrow challenge, it's damn tough. when you see others doing it, you will think it's easy peasy. yet when you try it, your arms can tire and you will have stomach cramps. it's like lifting weights a lot of times and doing sit ups till your body could not take it. anyway, got a goodie-bag after that and a certificate that we had participate for this event. then, for the night walk, to me it's not scary at all. it's like some crappy shit. i could laugh and just walk through the whole thing without anyone accompanying me. next, for the 'lights out', our class had a gathering and we talk about ghost stories at TP sports complex. nice time bonding with them. i like my classmates!! =) then for the games, we went back to those tutorial classrooms and played Indiana poker, losers have to choose truth or dare. it was then some secrets spilled out. =/ kinda embarrassing after that. about 7 of us stayed awake through the night! it's my first time successfully not sleeping for 24 hours!! but, i fell into a short nap right after the 24th hour! haha.

well, Saturday we ate breakfast in the engineering sauna canteen. the fans are not on. although it is naturally ventilated, there air is super still. after that, we had something like "amazing race". had lots of fun! like playing with flour and having a game similar to street soccer. then, listen to a talk by the 3rd years about their internship then had some team building game after that. left after the game while they continued to have fun. i left as i had to celebrate my grandpa's birthday. by the way, i saw Derrick in school. he is trying on his graduating clothes.

went to my grandma's house. ate at West Coast Plaza. the food is just normal even though it's a restaurant. also, the portion is super duper small. went back to cut the durian cake after eating dinner. the cake is AWESOME!! all durian with the sponge cake, no cream. FANTASTIC! =) toooo bad you can't taste it!

poem

Life Paints A Picture©
By Robin Baugus

Everyone's life is a picture,
Painted by only one person,

Life itself.
The picture shows everything you're doing,

And everything you have done.
But sometimes, Life gets tired.

And doesn't want to paint a picture.
So, Life sends problems to stop you,

If you give up, your picture is finished.
If you keep going, so does your picture.

So the question is:
How soon do you want to see your picture?

Do you want to see it now?
When it could be so much more?

Or later, when there's so much more than before?
It's your choice,

I'll keep going.

lost pinky

told HowCher i had lost Pinky. actually i had lost it on Monday. didn't dare to tell him. afraid he would be angry or upset. i guess no matter how, the person will feel that way even though they don't say so. I'm so so sorry. i had Pinky with me and it left me. i guess it got lost somewhere in TP. oh man.. now nothing could replace Pinky.

by the way, Pinky is a pink bunny-like keychain HowCher gave it to me. he caught it in one of those machines-those metal grabbers to grab softtoy/keychain. i still remembered he caught it in Marina Square. even though after much persuasion from David and I that those machines are made to cheat people's money-the metal grabbers is so flimsy, HowCher still went to try to prove us wrong. in the end, he caught Pinky.

JunMing is sick. hope he get well soon.

life's getting better? or is it just a while?

officially starts school

OFFICIALLY started my course today!! =) yea, everyone who had enrolled into Temasek poly will start today! and of course, we bomb the bus. late for first lecture. not my fault. blame SBS. they should increase the frequency of buses during peak hours! all the TP students squeeze into the bus like a can of sardines!

since today is the first official day, we didn't really had lessons. just self introduction and collection of some notes for the subject. do you know, we have to learn the air-con and plumbing!! it is like what the hell!! I'm so not interested in it! never mind, i guess i will only be having it for first semester. also, there is another subject about some science and history things about planes. i HATE history!! but at least, the lecturer just gave a brief overview about the aviation history like who started the aviation stuff.

anyway, here is my class. taken the photo last week, Friday, during the last day of orientation.
for the above picture, starting from the bottom left.
Joseph Ang
from Anderson secondary. he is ok. like normal.. which is duh! quite quiet i would say. but he has quite a lot of white hairs! perhaps it's genetic. or maybe too stress? he is the vice treasurer.
Xiao Dan
she is not a Singaporean. from China. she studied at Queensway secondary. stayed in Singapore for quite a long time. when she speaks English or Chinese, she doesn't have that weird china accent. she is the vice chairperson.
Kenny
i don't know much about him. he has his friends from other courses. nice durian head he have.
Chiltern
he likes space and aircraft.
Darrell Goh
my primary school friend!! we didn't know we are from the same primary school until i mention about it. he likes a girl in TP. he always makes his hair. but his hair is nice. good that he took care of it well if not his hair would be like a bush.
Maggie
one of the bimbo in our class. she dresses well and is quite attractive. any guys can go for her! hahas =)
Ismail
funny guy.
Fikri
same secondary school as Ismail. Dunman secondary. both of them cracks jokes. usually will see them together. i would say Fikri is much funnier than Ismail.

the middle row, starting from left.

Nuraini(i guess so, cant see the face clearly.)
she usually sticks with another malay girl, Shafiqah(i dont know how to spell).
Jane
another bimbo. her hair is on fire! she dyed her hair until it is quite red! talkative too!
Gina
bimbo again! Jane and her are good friends. same secondary. from Aglican High. don't know why they chose here when they should be able to do well to enter JC. she talks a lot too!
Joslyn
we call her helmet head. due to her hotmail address. or we also say that she is crazy over 5566. she is my DPA mate. have been friends with her for a very very long time!! since last year if i am not wrong. she's a tom boy. she likes to say "cute" to some stuff. she is the class treasurer.
ME
you should know me!! =)
Pui Kei
stayed in Punggol. went in through DPA also. go home with her sometimes. she is from Macau! her family had migrated here and is now a PR. so cool!
(i don't know who.)
i cant see the face!

Nicole Tan
she is a little lonely. didnt talk much. she will be with her friend when we have any lecture together.

last row at the top, starting from left.

Samuel Liew
calls me 'mum' because I'm the class rep. what the helllllll! I'm not that old! nice guy.
Noor( i guess so)
i dont know much about him =/
Hisyam
funny. quiet. didn't talk much to him.
Jing Shen
another quiet boy. dont know him much.
Cheng Jie
a girl from China. have been staying alone in Singapore and will go back to her hometown occasionally. she was from Tampines JC. to say it in an ugly term, she is a JC dropout.
Si Qi
i don't know much about her. also very quiet.
Leon Lim
from Aglican High also. he is short compared to the average height of guys. taller than me a little. i am short already! well, ok i shouldn't criticise anyone. but he is a nice person.

there are 28 people in the class. some are not in the picture. actually, my class consist of smart people!! our course manager said that my batch are "the bright kids" and that our raw score for R4 is 6. which is like, oh man! my raw score is only 9. i guess I'm one of the lousy ones already. got to study hard!!

last day of engineering orientation. have a great time knowing all my classmates. well, most of them. i still kinda forget some of their names. anyway, they are great people. also, my class-P901 is very competitive. yea very! even though lessons had not started, i can sense the 'smart' atmosphere. most of my classmates scored very well! in fact, we are all eligible to enter JC!

ok ya.. we cheered today, then had inter-school dragon boat race, mentor also went to join in. the overall champion was from business school! they had won it for 4 consecutive years i presume. then we had a inter-school cheerleading competition also. well, we did not win. engineering sat very far away from the judges, i guess that the judges couldn't hear us cheer. we cheered our lungs out! the rest of the schools were situated close to the judges and i guess their voices reached the judges very clearly.

after everything had end, there was "jam and hop". an activity like clubbing. i did not went. anyway, it is not compulsory. i do not like this type of clubbing.. i don't know how to explain. but i just don't like.

i'm dead beat. very tired.. going to my secondary school tomorrow for sports carnival! guess it would be fun! =)

first day of engineering orientation. get to know my class, hence, my new classmates. I'm in P901. there are a total of 4 classes for "Aviation Management and Services". well, most of them are quiet. there are only 2 people i know who are from DPA and went to the same class as me. XinYuan and Edward went different class. we all got separated. XinYuan P902 while Edward P904.

had ice breaking activities. (always, standard, on the first day. getting bored of orientation.) afterwards had a briefing by our AMS lecturer. then we had lunch. lunch was horrible. the vegetable is really cannot make it and the meat not tender. well, one word, HORRIBLE. it is not that i am picky ok. I'm just stating the fact! had dance after lunch. mass dance and another weird dance? i hate the dance. previously, i went for "TP rawks" camp and i had learnt the mass dance. luckily i didn't went for FOC or else, i got to learn that mass dance again! anyway, the dance moves aren't that interesting that makes me want to learn that whole dance. those stupid moves..

planning to skip tomorrow's and Friday's orientation half way through. perhaps i would. desperate times calls for desperate measures. i need to be freed from boredom!

took this picture when i walked home. nice? i hope Punggol can stay like that. STOP building new HDB please!!! it's spoiling the natural beauty!
the sunset behind the LRT tracks.

went with mum to T1

TUESDAY POST (15/4)

went out with my mum to T1-new shopping mall at Tampines. she kinda took a day's leave. by the way, talking about T1, HowCher and Derrick laugh their ass out when i thought T1 was Changi airport terminal 1. i feel gluing their mouth!! or laughing at them one day.

T1 gave a different feeling from Tampines Mall and Century Square. it is more like town area shopping mall. there is a shop, "uni qlo". in order to enter, you have to queue up. it is as though they didn't want to mess up the clothes and to ensure the customers have a great time shopping than shoving around.

ate lunch at "Manpuku". the concept they adapt is like this restaurant "Marche". there are many stalls then you can visit those stalls to order your food. while my mum and i were there, there's channel 8/U there interviewing this Ramen stall there. my mum and i ordered a Ramen bowl each. the noodles are not as fantastic as the Ramen restaurant in Clarke Quay. as my tummy is still not satisfied, i bought another dish-egg wrap the rice and chicken cutlet. it is not bad. the chicken cutlet is crispy and the rice is not dry or too wet.

the Manpuku card. (that's why i said it is similar to Marche)

i forgot what meat Ramen. i guess it's shio cha shu Ramen.
shio scallop Ramen.(should be like that)

omirice?? i forgot all the japanese name.
that was it. didn't buy any clothes from T1. the price is for upper middle class people!! there is a Burberry shop there but the shop name isn't Burberry. average price of a Burberry bag is $600+! i will not buy any branded bags. what for spend so much on bag when i can spend on other things.. or even buy like 15 bags with $600+.

i took this picture while my mum is driving us home. luckily i'm able to get a nice shot even when the car is moving.

all pictures taken from nationageographic.com

The moon's shadow darkens part of Earth during a solar eclipse. Only people underneath the center of that dark spot will see the total eclipse; others will see a partial eclipse. This shot was taken from the Mir space station in August 1999.

Clouds ripple across the Indian Ocean in this photograph taken from the space shuttle Discovery in 1999. This shuttle mission, STS-96, lasted 9 days, 19 hours, 13 minutes, and 57 seconds and covered 3.8 million miles (6.1 million kilometers).

Over its lifetime, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has captured many stunning images. Among the most memorable is this edge-on mosaic of the Sombrero galaxy. With its relatively high brightness magnitude and at a distance of 28 million light-years from Earth, Messier 104, as Sombrero is more formally known, is easily viewed through a small telescope.

A face-on view of the Messier 74 galaxy shows billions of stars forming within its spiral arms. The clusters of blue are young stars, and the pink areas indicate concentrations of ionized hydrogen. Messier 74 is home to about a hundred billion stars, slightly fewer than the Milky Way has, and sits near the constellation Pisces some 32 million light-years away.

this time i show some space photos. =) i will show you other photos next time =) i LOVE space. i wish i can travel there one day. but i guess it's impossible.. i don't have that much money to go there. =(

清明节 09

FRIDAY POST (11/4)
went to 扫墓. (direct translation: clean tombstone) it is a Chinese tradition and it's called "清明节". my grandpa said, in Singapore it is on 4th April, while China it's on 5th April. not sure why is it like this. however, most people took the time on Good Friday to 'clean tombstone'.

woke up at 6.50AM!! was dragging myself to wash up. =/ went to the 'terrace house' first at Chao Chu Kang. why 'terrace house'? because it is still buried and you have your own land. that's why. after burning offerings, we went to this temple, "万佛林" at Bedok. there, we didn't burn any offerings, just offer food. there are about 3 or 4 relative ashes in this temple. we say that they are staying in 'HDB' instead of 'terrace house' because it is so so pack!

the Choa Chu Kang cemetry.

the offerings burnt at the 'terrace house' deceased relative.
instead of the round thing at the above picture, some tombstone have this lion instead.
flowers grown at my relative tomebstone.
flowers grown on others tombstone.
the so called "HDB".
yea.. it looks that gloomy in there.

there's a poem about "清明节". here it goes.
清明
作者:杜牧

清明时节雨纷纷,
路上行人欲断魂。
借问酒家何处有,
牧童遥指杏花村。

translate to English.

It drizzles endlessly during the rainy season in spring,
Travellers along the road look gloomy and miserable.
When I ask a shepherd boy where I can find a tavern,
He points at a distant hamlet nestling amidst apricot blossoms.

WEDNESDAY POST (8/4)

can you free me from boredom?? my darling has gone away today. sweetiepie got sick and has to be away for awhile. feel a little sad. my honey is unable to company me. i hope my dar will be back soon! then i would not be so lonely. at least i would be entertained.

watched "Mall Cop". it's a comedy show. 6.5/10. to me, this show isn't worth to watch in the theatre. it basically tells us about this plump guy, who have a disease. he needs sugar or else he will fall asleep. he wants to be a cop but he fails the test because of this disease. also, he had lost his wife and his family encourage him to find one again. then, in the mall he worked at, he found a lady he love. something like love at first sight. then, the story develops. it is super funny at certain scenes. more like a love comedy show. you can watch if you just want some laugh =)

P.S my darling is my laptop. =) hahas. a keyboard button is spoilt so it was sent for repair.

flowers-daisies and dandelion

oh my.. i guess i fall in love with something.. guess what? it's daisy(a flower). (highlight that portion)

in the past, i hate or should i say dislike flowers? i feel that it is like ugly or useless. if someone gives me flowers, it will die sooner or later, so why give flowers? however, i would like to take my words back now.. i like daisies!! why i like it? you want to guess?? here it is, i like because of the petals, it is like slim and the way it spaces out. there are many petals too.

here's what i found out about daisy.
MEANING:
Innocence, loyal love, I'll never tell, purity, love that conquers all. Associated with the fifth wedding anniversary. **(main meaning is "innocence")
FACTS:
--Daisies are among the most popular of flowers. Daisies belong to the Daisy Family of Compositae, now known as Asteraceae in flowering plants.
Daisy flowers are simple, sophisticated and attract every one. Simply put, Daisies are one of nature's finest accomplishments.
-Daisies are native to north and central Europe.
-A Daisy flower is composed of white petals and yellow centers, although the flowers are sometimes a pink or rose color.
-Stems of Daisies are smooth and leafless and support a single flower. Daisies are not one flower. A Daisy is made up of two types of flowers - disk florets and petal-like white ray florets.
-Daisies are named from the old Anglo-Saxon language daes eage, which means day's eye.
-Daisy flower plant has a prostrate or spreading growing habit.
-The Daisy leaf texture varies and may be smooth or hairy, narrow at the base and slightly lobed.
-English Daisy is a serious weed in the northwest United States.
-The Daisy flowers open at dawn and are visited by many small insects.
-Daisy leaves are edible and can be used in salads.

another one i quite like is dandelion.

MEANING:
Faithfulness, happiness, love's oracle.
FACTS:
-The word Dandelion comes from the French name for the plant "dents de lion". This means "teeth of the lion" and refers to the jagged edges of the leaf of the plant.
-The Dandelion seeds are important food to many small birds.
-Dandelion is a nutritive herb rich in potassium, calcium, and lecithin, with iron, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, proteins, silicon, boron, and zinc. Dandelion provides several B vitamins along with vitamins C and E as well as vitamin P.
-effective treatment for liver disease, useful even in such extreme cases as cirrhosis. It cleanses the bloodstream and increases bile production, and is a good remedy for gall bladder problems as well. The herb is also a boon to such other internal organs as the pancreas, kidneys, stomach, and spleen. The dried leaf, taken as a tea, is used as a mild laxative to relieve constipation.

well yea.. if you wanna know more, find out yourself k? my blog is not an encyclopedia. hahas =) these 2 are the flowers i like. i know there are many flowers out there and i do not know all. but i guess i will still like this 2 flowers even i know all of the flowers =) how about you? like any flowers now? =)

hp laptop

i got my HP laptop!!! yes!! finally it had arrived after like 3 weeks i presume? but but, i found a key that seems to be falling off. i got to call the HP people to get it done.

I'm a little obsessed with maplestory. perhaps because it is my first time leveling to 70 and i want to try all the new skills and go to maps i had never been before. i NEVER played private server before. private server is fun to try out all kinds of job skills but you don't get as much satisfaction as compared to maplestory when you level.

i watched "butterfly effect: revelation". it isn't out yet in Singapore. i guess it is already out in other countries. nice show. but this butterfly effect is part 3, just like "Matrix" which have 3 part movie. this show is considered R21 in Singapore. i watched that sex scene unknowingly.. i guess if they show in Singapore, they would censor that part then put it as M18 or NC16. this show have a little teleportation, a little gore, police, murder. it's just fabulous. i like the twist. the ending is fantastic, just as long as you understand it is nice!! i guess i would want to watch part 1 and 2. i want to find out more about what happened previously to understand the show better. this show 8/10? if you don't like gore and teleportation then you shouldn't watch. however, the gore parts are a little only.

ok i will go now. want to continue my english drama - Sanctuary. it is like the previous english drama i introduced - Fringe. both are sci-fi shows. ok i got to run. =)

SATURDAY POST (4/4)

celebrated my cousins birthday. as usual, i sat there to rot.. they are just little kids studying in primary school. there isn't any topics for us to share or talk about. my little cousin(birthday boy), likes power rangers, transformers, gundam. i hope he doesn't grow up to be like Jovan-a boy in my class. Jovan is just NOT mature. frankly speaking, he is a little annoying. ok. not a little but VERY!

played 'cheat' with my parents to pass the time. anyway, his birthday cake is delicious. i like it! no cream just sponge and a green thingy.

ok look at this spectacle. well, not spectacle. i don't know what is it called. it is SUPER cool ok!!when i wear it, i do not need to wear my spectacles. my uncle say it is because the little holes limit the amount of light going into the eye which let our eye focus better. when i wear this, i could watch the TV clearly which is like about 4 metres away!!! my degree for each eye is like R-500, L-600. coool man. i want to buy it to correct my eye sight! you should try it too!! go buy it!

2nd day of chalet. went home

FRIDAY POST (3/4)

went home in the morning. i gave up. surrender. i seriously need sleep or i my mind will just shut down.

slack at home till evening comes. i reluctantly went back to sentosa again. such a long journey. my eyes still hurts from the lack of sleep. plodded my way back to the chalet.

they had just begun to start the barbeque when i arrived. usual food-hotdogs, crabmeat, chicken wings, fishball, marshmallow. I'm getting bored with the foods. it's always the same. i miss the one and only barbecue i went with my friends that had salmon, stingray and all the sumptuous foods.

left early while most of my friends are enjoying themselves in the pool. they jumped in with their shirts on. some of them pushed one another down. i seriously don't like swimming because i will be getting myself wet. i will only swim in 'Safra' or places where they maintain the pool frequently. and hey doesn't mean that i don't like to get myself wet means i dislike rain. i LOVE rain!! i want to be under the rain and get myself soaking wet.

the chalet was not what i expected.

first T01 chalet

THURSDAY POST (2/4)

yoooohooooooo!! having a DPA-PPP debrief and we are off!! go home pack up stuff for T01 chalet at Sentosa!! also, another news is that in maple, i'm officially lvl 70, a priest now!!! =) =)

met classmates about 3 plus at Vivo. guess what, i thought we will be going in early and fast. but they draaaaaaaaaag and draaaaaaag the time. went to Daiso to walk about. after much time had fly, we finally bought our takeaway dinner and bring them to chalet to eat. had to pay $3 to enter Sentosa EACH time by the monorail, including back to Vivo.

when we finally enter the chalet, it was about 8pm i suppose. we were seriously damn shocked and pissed when we saw our room. it was FREAKING SMALL!!! to me, it is just enough for about 4/5 people to stay inside. there are 18 of us who went and we squeeeeze in that TEENY WEENY ROOM!!

played truth or dare. as usual, all secrets are to be kept within the circle of people. it is freaking boring! i was like quite sleepy already. guess i am unable to stay up one night.

after that, we were split into 2 groups.one group went to drink, the other stayed in the room to play cards or chat. i stayed in the room. watch some stupid show. i don't even find it interesting.. it's only about 3am that the fun starts. played 'daidi', 'cheat', 'murderer and detective'.

stayed up for 23 hours!! also, it's my first time staying overnight. for the last hour, i couldn't take it anymore. my eyes are starting to get dry and it weighs a tonne!! i could practically lie and sleep within seconds when i close my eyes..

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...................................... TIRED!!!

WEDNESDAY POST (1/4)

HAPPY APRIL's FOOOOOOOOL DAY PEOPLE!!

YEA!!!! last day of DPA-PPP. yet, we are having test and not having fun. after the test, i left without continuing on with afternoon lesson. i don't know what will my consequences be. will i be treated as absent or???

met HowCher and Derrick, then headed to PasirRis to meet David. now, David is late. why do we always have to take turns to be late!?

at first, we want to go Nebo Cafe. unfortunately, it is closed from 1-7 April for maintenance?? i forgot. so ya.. our choice was K-Box. obviously, David is damn damn reluctant. he gave that 'boring' look. but ya it's our first time going k-box together.

sang lots of songs!! well, i sing mostly English songs. i rarely listen to Chinese songs!! then David was like stoning at the k-box while HowCher and Derrick were singing too. HowCher damn high! it's like he was on ecstasy.

after k-box, played some forfeit games. here are the photos we took.

HowCher's first forfeit.
my first forfeit.
HowCher's second forfeit.
David's first forfeit.
Derrick have no forfeit so we force him to do one =)
HowCher found this little bird dead. =X
David putting up some stunt and HowCher went to disturb.
the rest of the pictures will be uploaded on Facebook. =)

ate dinner at downtown east. this restaurant that provides free flow of ice-cream and drinks with any set meal purchased. coool. i like their hot mocha! hahas =) and ooops i forgotten the time that i had to reach home. my parents called my up when we were playing half-way.

so sorry to HowCher, David and Derrick that i leave suddenly. so sorry =/
