NEW STANDING SUSHI BAR OUTLET

on saturday evening, Howard opened his second Standing Sushi Bar outlet at Singapore Art Musuem, 8 Queen Street!! CONGRATULATIONS HOWARD :) feel happy for him!! the 'retired' part-timers went back to celebrate with him and his invited friends. regular customers, Howard friends and lal the chefs went to the new SSB outlet. it was a big day for Howard and a great day for everyone. feel happy for Howard that SSB had survived. SSB outlet at Raffles Place OUB centre did not close down like other outlets around the area. hopefully that more SSB outlet will be open. ALL THE BEST TO HOWARD!!

ytd, my uncle had his official housewarming. there were just too many ppl in such a teeny weeny space. though his house is a terrace. but no one went up. resulting in congestion and the first level was packed. =/ went early and left early. got nothing to do even if my family stayed on.
for F1 this year in Singapore, Alonso won again!! followed by Sebastien Vettel and Mark Webber? Hamilton was out for this race. awwww. anw i'm not a supporter of Hamilton so yea.. who cares.

going to shop with my mum at CityHall!! :) bye!!

KAWA SAN!!!!

some problem with my blog.

anyway i've solve the problem.

went out with Cody to study.
met some of my classmates at airport T2.

send Kawa-San off to Tokyo.
he wouldn't be back or so he says.
gonna miss him

feel that i'm not putting enough effort.
or just that my brain isn't absorbing like i want it to.
economics is down yesterday left 4 more papers to go.
4 more days to partial freedom before assignments are going to crush my pathetic 2 weeks holiday.

pub pub pub

ate dinner with grandma and relatives.
some new restaurant near my grandma house.
new restaurant called "leaf" somewhere in the landed property place.
the food is good
especially the rice.
not just plain rice but it's tomato rice/plain rice/briyani rice.
very nice.
rice is free flow.
we ate on banana leafs, there are no plates
there are fork and spoons though =]

first time going to pub
Howard is giving a farewell party for Kawa-San
Kawa San is going off tomorrow.
most of us is sending him off.
we compiled everything and gave him photo album.
i'm gonna miss Kawa San!!! =]
guess i drank a little too much
feel that i'm gonna be drunk
though i still can talk sensible stuff.

wanted to go IT fair.
it's at Suntec Expo.
went to the wrong place.
hang around Suntec City before going to Bugis.
met working people and cody went to SimLim
giving chef Kawa San a farewell dinner before he is going back to his hometown on 6Dec.
i'm so gonna miss him and so does everyone else.
ate steamboat with them for dinner.
LikYong, Von, Ivy, Coral(manager), Nicolette, Ebellia, Milene, chef - Roy, Alex&his son, Boy, KawaSan came for the farewell dinner.
didn't join them for dessert.
met up with cody for our dessert - yoghurt ice cream!!
felt bad leaving him alone while enjoying myself eating steamboat.

this is my first ever outing with working people too!
usually their outing is very late like 11pm?
i couldnt even make it.
11pm nearing my sleeping time!

my class have our station just opposite the ATM machine.

i like only one store.

finally back to work after 2 weeks of not working.

met Ivy and Von.

both work barely a month.

Von just started work few days ago.

Von is a tomboy.. at a first glance you wouldn't even know to call a he/she.

worse thing is that the first time i saw Von was from the back view.

my first thought was a short boy!!!

didn't know Ivy was from HongKong but a Singapore citizen now.

both of them know Cantonese and i HATE it when chef Roy talks to them in Cantonese.

i don't really know that language.

it's like why must you speak a language someone do not know?

seems like you are talking ill about them.

Roy really make me pissed today. seriously.

i cannot tolerate his attitude.

he have been shooting at me during the whole time there.

anyway after work we were given the leftover sushi.

i'm freaking hungry.

yet surprisingly i didn't get much hunger pangs.

only eaten breakfast and sweetpotato for the whole day.

gobbled up my sushi when i'm almost home.

last three day before school starts

wore my working shirt to work for the first time!
just got it yesterday.
heard that the shirt will shrink after washing.
saw the work dress today.
our manager, Coral wore it.
i like it! i rather wear that working dress.
it's very unique!!

listen to Chinese song again.
i wonder how many decades i haven't listen =/
the songs sound weird..
guess i'm not used to it

after seeing my friends timetable..
i think my timetable is shit good!
my friends have break here and there.
too many weird breaks and i hate that!

what a day

had an outing with primary school friends - TengHoi, XuanLe and David.
XuanLe lied to me TengHoi wasn't coming.. but he did come!!

watched "Phobia2".

there's 5 different stories in the movie.
lasted about 2 hours.
not only frightening.. there are gory scenes also.
for the first 4 stories, the ending is unexpected.
not that kind of unexpected ending but it's like the feeling of "OH MY!! DON'T tell me THIS is the ending!!!" they should continue the story to have a confirm ending.
1st story - stupid...
something in the story reminds me of something in Lord of The Rings.
2nd story - is quite a cliche.
3rd story - kind of ridiculous?
reminds me of L4D or even Resident Evil.
(btw, i'm not sure if i've mixed up with 3rd and 4th movie)
4th - karma.
what goes around comes around.
5th - it's very very hilarious.
i was laughing non stop at this story.
all your fear will be gone.
i like this story plot.
very unexpected twist at a few parts and it ends of nicely.
walked around esplanade with them.
then we went off our separate ways.

met Michelle Tan when i was shopping for heels.

ate at my workplace - Standing Sushi Bar with my family.
celebrate my early birthday.
Roy said i'm the first worker to ever eat Omakase at the workplace.
met the new girl, Ivy.
her first day at work.
now i realise, LikYong is the youngest working there and i'm the second youngest.
everyone else is studying in University or working already.

i feel sad for Rayne (one of the chef). =(

Patricia Mok came to promote Standing Sushi Bar for i-weekly magazine.
all the food she ate are FREE.
which means i guess we made a loss.

met Cody after work!
brought him to make his belated birthday present at build-a-bear workshop.
made an owl soft toy with him.
actually, i know it will be your first soft toy that's why i brought you there.
everything that is one's first will always be a memorable one.
hope you like the gift!

watched "the proposal"
i like the show.
about romance, courage, and lies.
it's so much better than "the ugly truth"
quite touching and meaningful.
could watch in the cinema.
i feel it's worth it.

drank a little Sake and ate horse meat at work.
Howard says the horse meat is expensive.
a few pieces could cost about $50!
but the horse meat is really very juicy and delicious.
the Sake is nice too
drank 2 different types.
one is made from 100% rice while the other... i don't know.

Donut Empire peeps gave us 2 boxes of donuts.
stupid chef kept it all to  himself..
i wanted to eat the oreo donut.
or at least the plain sugar donut.
however, i got to taste none.

great time at work.
so far, no spill, no breaks.
hopefully, everything goes smoothly!

Howard - boss of Standing Sushi Bar,
asked me to dine there to celebrate my 17th birthday with my parents.
i will be happy though but not my parents.
the bill will definitely be a hefty one.

met another waitress, Nicolette.
there may be an outing on Saturday with working peeps!!
hopefully we're watching "Gamer".
since they are much older, they could purchase the tickets for me.
heard that "Gamer" is very VERY fantastic.


watched "Dance Flick" which is something like "Scary Movie".
the show is a combination of dance movies.
it's stupidly funny and is quite sick just like "The Ugly Truth".


also, i'd watched "The Coffin" yesterday.
quite an old movie.
not very frightening.
it's just telling us that you cannot change the process of life and death.
when you're destined to die or get sick, you will.


oh well that's that.
gotta do my piano homework which i had procrastinated for like a week.
just wish that piano lesson goes well later.

waoh today is the big day.
ok no. BIG day.

i couldn't log in no matter what.
even now when it's 1.30AM! the web is still jam!
but i know i did well.
Sumarni called and told me i was in the top 10%
but i'm still excited to know my GPA.
i want to see how well i score!
i guess i'll have to wait till tomorrow?

well everything is great.
so far i haven't spilled anything or break anything yet.

however, i dislike the chef attitude =/
i like his food but not him, his attitude.

fooooooood at work

yea!!! worked yesterday with LikYong.
11-3pm then 6-10pm.
met 2 new friends.
well actually 1.
i think LikYong and i are the youngest there.
16 going on to 17 this year.
since we are underage, we couldn't serve alcohol.

walked from Raffles Place > Clarke Quay > City Hall > Dhoby Ghaut.
all in less than an hour during our 3-6pm break.
my legs can break!
and we walked back!!! but we took short cut this time
horrible time walking =/

had free oreo donuts from "donut empire".
actually we could get free donuts everyday if we work there.
getting to try some food at work.
i think it's nice!
brought home sushi! =D

FRIDAY 4/9


went for the "standing sushi bar" interview.
i got the job!
starting tomorrow for training =]
quite elated about it,
yet afraid that i may spill drinks on customers like the past.


SATURDAY 5/9

went for my job training from 12-3pm.
Taryn, the assistant manager brief me with the basic things i should know.
it isn't that crowded during the weekend. it's base on what the manager said. haven't seen the weekdays crowd yet.
there are only a few people during my working hours.
quite good, at least i am able to manage.
Coral, the manager i guess, ask me to continue working from 6-10pm.
and oh, LikYong came for the interview today and he got the job too.
he will start work from 6-10pm as training. =]


met JunMing, Shaun and MinXiang during my 3-6pm break.
supposingly Corinne is coming, but i guess she have something on.
after finding and torturing ourselves by companying JunMing to so many shops to search for a suitable skinny, he finally bought it at Peninsula.

ate dinner at Mac.
headed back to work.
there's quite a crowd for dinner!
mostly came for the 8 course dinner - Omakase.

reached home about 11.30pm~?
i'm literally physically dead
still have to wake up at 4.30am tomorrow for yellow ribbon run coordinator!
